First Part : What is the Breton Society ?
It will explained the Breton Society?s aims : create a Breton social life with several activities :
. regular conferences about several topics (history, geography, physics, economy, philosophy, literature?)
. theatre
. festoù-noz (Breton dancing evenings)
. various ideas to develop according to the participants? proposals?
Activities will be proposed. They will be related to our present time and to the future, out of any "folkloric" mind, and they will open up as much to Europe and the whole world as to Brittany and the other Celtic countries
We are determined to carry out useful plans to structure a Breton community as sonn as possible, such as :
. to realize an almanac of Bretons classified according to profession, or public activity
. to set up an association of consumers with the aim to stand as economic lobby
. to set up a "bank of initiatives" with the aim to join people who have the same social activities or leisure with the aim of exercise them communally in Breton structures
. to set up an association of whole Breton speaking families with the aim to keep their children in Breton surroundings before and after they are at school
The object of the "Breton Society" is to establish in the whole Brittany a network of local and social Breton life centres?If you are interested in our initiative, even if you can not come to Kemper?s or Gwengamp?s meetings, you can get in contact with us with if you wish establish local centers in your area
(Only our aims will be explained n English it will be explained ; debated about them will be in Breton only)
